A new and exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores.

As a Pricing Analyst, you will be providing commercial excellence to the National Buying Department through innovative and actionable insights, driving ALDI’s existing pricing and promotions strategy. You will also be integral in selecting optimal products for promotions, analysing performance as well as continuous process improvement.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience utilising data and reporting tools to form pricing and strategy recommendations. With strong communication skills, you will be able to effectively communicate insights to key stakeholder groups. You will also have the capability to leverage multiple data sets in order to manage key business deliverables, while identifying avenues for continuous improvement.

What does the role look like?

  • Effectively clean and aggregate large data sets in preparation for reporting requirements
  • Build, maintain and analyse management dashboards and ad hoc reports to aggregate data across multiple sources using data visualisation tools
  • Create tools and reports to effectively communicate relevant business insights
  • Identify improvement opportunities and provide data insights and recommendations to improve pricing processes
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams to develop and analyse data needs
  • Providing any other support as required by the Executive Manager to support the broader Buying Department

What do we need from you?

  • Demonstrated commercial experience and knowledge in data visualisation tools (such as Tableau or equivalent)
  • Strong competency in SQL
  • Ability to manipulate and mind data using Python, Pyspark or equivalent is highly regarded
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical ideas to relevant business stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • FMCG/Retail industry experience highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field

This role reports to the Executive Manager - Commercial.
